Baturraden is a tourist park that is located in the southern part of Mount Slamet, Banyumas regency, Central Java. Baturraden is now doing a lot of landscape development and ready to become one of the leading attractions in Central Java. But have you ever heard of the Baturraden Botanical Gardens? This is a new feature introduced by Baturraden want,as a tourist attraction as well as a nature reserve. Its is indeed newly opened on December 20, 2015.
Baturraden Botanical Gardens is located 1.5 km north of the ticket gate Baturraden Ecotourism, Precisely in the Kemutuk Lor Village. This botanical garden has an area of 143.5 hectares with plants typical of the vegetation features of Java. There are about 571 species of plants, with 394 genera and 196 tribes. The total number of plants in this location is 2637 species of plants. The plant is a native plant of Banyumas and some sent from the Bogor Botanical Gardens.
Baturraden Botanical Gardens also has several other children rides and also the tree houses. Travellers are advised to come early in order to get a chance to enjoy all the rides and breathe more fresh air. If you arrive early, you may be able to explore locations around the botanical gardens. Right next to the botanical gardens there are roads to tourist sites of Pancuran 7 which also known as hot water springs sites. The distance between this location is a bit far, about 3.6 km.
